Your Age at Baptism (into JWs, not Catholics or Baptists - duh)
by undercover inleavingwt mentioned on another thread the age of his wife when she was baptized.
she was a child.
how can you expect a child to make such a decision?.

Missionaries on this site are very few so that makes it tricky for us to tell our story without giving away our identity. maybe someone can help us out and think of a safe way to share.

How much time have they bought themselves? How long can they stretch it now?
by Psychotic Parrot inmembers of the second group of annointed will be alive to see the end, or so they are now saying, therefore the youngest member of the anointed alive today is the key here.
how old is the youngest accepted annointed person today?
they can't be any younger than 50-ish, surely.

AllTimeJeff.- Exactly my thoughts on this. I've never seen those generations so clearly explained. On the board I feel I identify myself easier with those of 'my' generation in the organisation.

2010 Circuit Assembly..........Sunday Program nonsense and madness.
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini went to the sunday circuit assembly and came back all riled up with all the nonsense.. the sunday program was on ''safeguarding your spirituality''.
''it is better to remain single and not marry.

sorry the errors...of typing, here's take two.
I left highschool halfway, to become a pioneer and special pioneer at the age of 16. After that the youngest Gilead missionary ever. Now, thirty years later, we've send our four children, after finishing highschool, to my homecountry. All four of them are in University in a high developped country. One is studying medicine. They are not baptized, because we wanted them to choose after they go through 'life' and are well-educated adults. They, and we also, got the cold shoulder because of that choice from the friends. But I did not want them to miss out on opportunities, not to earn fame or fortune, but to be educated and have some kind of security in this unstable world. The same security the Society looks for when they buy (fire, All-Risk) insurrance for their properties (cars and buildings). We educate our children to asurre some of the basic aspects of their lives....
